प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी चार राज्यमंत्रियों को केबिनेट मंत्री पद और 9 नए राज्य मंत्रियों की शपथ ग्रहणके बाद ब्रिक्स की बैठक में हिस्सा लेने चीन रवाना हो गए | चीन रवाना होने से पहले उन्होंने अपने मंत्रिमंडल के की मंत्रियों के विभागों में फेरबदल कर दिया | 

निर्मला सीतारमन, धर्मेन्द्र प्रधान और पीयूष गोयल को केबिनेट मंत्री का दर्जा दिया गया है | 

निर्मला सीतारामन को देश का रक्षा मंत्री बनाया गया है, इंदिरा गांधी के बाद वह देश की पहली महिला रक्षा मंत्री हैं| देश में पहली बार केबिनेट कमेटी आन सिक्योरिटी में अब दो महिलाएं होंगी | सुषमा स्वराज पहले ही सीसीएस की सदस्य हैं | 

नितिन गडकरी सडक परिवहन मंत्री के साथ साथ उमा भारती का गंगा सफाई मंत्रालय भी देखेंगे | 

उमा भारती को पेयजल और सेनिटेशन मंत्रालय दिया गया है 

पीयूष गोयल को केबिनेट मंत्री का दर्जा मिलने के बाद ऊर्जा मंत्रालय से हटा कर देश का नया रेल मंत्री बना दिया गया है | वह कोयला मंत्री भी होंगे |

सुरेश प्रभु को रेल मंत्रालय से हटा कर उद्धोग एंव वाणिज्य मंत्रालय दिया गया है |

अरुण जेटली वित्त के साथसाथ कारपोरेट अफेयर मंत्रालय भी देखेंगे | उन्हें रक्षा मंत्रालय से मुक्त कर दिया गया है | 

नरेंद्र सिंह तोमर को ग्रामीण विकास और पंचायती राज के साथ साथ खननं मंत्रालय भी दे दिया गया है |

स्मृति ईरानी को सूचना प्रसारण मंत्री बना दिया गया है, वेंकैया नायडू के उप राष्ट्रपति बन्ने के बाद उन्हें इस मंत्रालय का अतिरिक्त प्रभार दिया गया था | पहले उन के पास कपड़ा मंत्रालय था |

विजय गोयल को खेल मंत्रालय से हटा कर संसदीय कार्य राज्य मंत्री और गनणा एंव आंकडा राज्य मंत्री बनाया गया है |

राज्यवर्धन सिंह राठौर को यूथ एंव खेल मंत्रालय का भी चार्ज दे दिया गया है, जिस के वह स्वतंत्र प्रभारी मंत्री होंगे |
