अगस्ता वेस्टलैंड सौदे के भ्रष्टाचार में त्यागी गिरफ्तार

अगस्ता वेस्टलैंड मामले की जांच कर रही सीबीआई ने आज पूर्व वायुसेनाध्यक्ष एस पी त्यागी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है. त्यागी के साथ गौतम खेतान और जूली त्यागी को भी गिरफ्तार किया गया है. तीनों को शनिवार को कोर्ट में पेश किया जाएगा. अगस्ता वेस्टलैंड सौदे में सोनिया गांधी का नाम भी आया था.

यूपीए सरकार के समय सीबीआई ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट के सामने कहा था कि केस की जांच सम्भव नही है, लेकिन सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने केस बंद करने से इंकार कर दिया था.

सूत्रों के मुताबिक गौतम खेतान ने सीबीआई की पूछताछ में माना था कि आईडीएस इंफोटेक इंडिया की सब्सिडरी कंपनी आईडीएस ट्यूनिशिया को बनाने में अहम भूमिका अदा की थी. सीबीआई को अगस्ता वेस्टलैंड से आईडीएस ट्यूनीशिया में पैसा ट्रांसफर किए जाने के सबूत मिले थे.

गौरतलब है कि इस साल मई में सीबीआई की पूछताछ के दौरान पूर्व सेनाप्रमुख एस पी त्यागी ने फिनमैकेनिका कंपनी के अधिकारियों से मिलने की बात कबूल की थी. त्यागी ने फिनमैकेनिका के तत्कालीन चीफ ऑपरेटिंग ऑफीसर जॉर्जिंग जापा समेत अन्य अफसरों से मुलाकात की बात को स्वीकार किया था.

हालांकि इससे पहले तक त्यागी इन अफसरों से मिलने से इनकार करते रहे. लेकिन सीबीआई के अधिकारियों ने जब विजिटर डायरी समेत कुछ और सबूत त्यागी के सामने रखे तो त्यागी को कबूलना पड़ा था कि वो इन अधिकारियों से मिले थे. त्यागी ने 4 कंपनियों के साथ आर्थिक हित भी जुड़े होने की बात कबूल की थी. जांच एजेंसी पहले भी 2013 में त्यागी से पूछताछ कर चुकी है.

सीबीआई के मुताबिक अगस्ता वेस्टलैंड डील 3767 करोड़ में हुई थी और इसमें 12 फीसदी पैसा घूस के तौर पर लिया गया. सभी आरोपियों को भ्रष्टाचार रोधी एक्ट 1988 के अंतर्गत आईपीसी की धारा 120बी और 420 के तहत गिरफ्तार किया गया है.

7. Air Marshal Tyagi claimed that the change of specifications was a collective decision involving many departments.
8. The Enforcement Directorate alleges that payments were made through Tunisia-registered companies controlled by Switzerland-based intermediaries Guido Haschke and Carlo Gerosa and transferred to accounts in India and Mauritius.
9. Three helicopters had been delivered to India before the deal was stalled in 2013.
10. Rakesh Asthana, who ordered the arrest, has been in the headlines over his appointment as the interim CBI chief, with the opposition alleging that the government did not follow the rules for selection.
