Ajay Setia is a renowned journalist. Having worked with daily newspapers like Jansatta as Sr. Sub Editor, Dainik Jagran as Chief Sub Ediotr, Dainik Bhaskar as Special Correspondant, Dainik Navajyoti as Chief of Bureau and worked with Rajasthan Patrika & Daily News as Political Editor. He also worked with E Tv as Input head (editor) - Hindi channels (Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Rajasthan). He started his career with Panjab Kesri as Sub Editor in 1983.
Durning his tenure at Dainik Navajyoti, he wrote a daily socio-political column named 'India Gate Se', appearing on front page, for 10 years. At Rajasthan Patrika his coulmn was rechristained as 'Jantar Mantar' in Ajmer, Delhi-Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Surat, Kolkata, Bangalore and Chennai Editions and as 'Sanjay Uvach'* in Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota, Bikaner, Seekar, Sri Ganga Nagar, Bhilwara, Alwar, Pali and Banswara editions.
After placing himself strategically in visual media in 2010-11, he started forthnightly and later on weekly interview under the popular episode named as "India Gate Se". It appeared in all E Tv Hindi channels every saturday during prime time.
* - In Mahabharata when there was war between Pandavas and Kauravas, Sanjay was giving live coverage to Dhritrashtra sitting in Hastinapur, that is called 'Sanjay Uvach'.
